I am interested in natural patterns as a form of art forged by nature, free from the superficial vanity of human beings. I particularly like exploring volcanic land and reptiles through my work, as they both remind me of the imprint left by a primitive world. For my final major project at university, I created portraits distorted by a mirror-like material, attempting to achieve a ghostly-like painting effect, while also unveiling the feeble nature of our identity, constantly shaped by the Other. The Other's influence is, indeed, uncontrollable.
